You don't need a professional floor plan to get started. A few basic measurements, photos and notes about your space can give our design team the information needed to begin understanding your wine storage project.
A simple hand-drawn layout with clearly labeled dimensions is often a great place to start.
What Should You Measure?
Measure each wall where wine racks, shelving, cabinetry or other storage may be installed.
Measure from the finished floor to the ceiling and note any areas where the height changes.
Note the width, height and location of doors, openings and entryways within the space.
Measure window width and height and note its position on the wall.
Identify columns, soffits, stairs, outlets, switches, vents or other features that may affect the layout.
Note corners, angled walls, alcoves and other architectural details that make the space unique.
Take a Few Photos, Too
Measurements tell us the size of the room. Photos help communicate the architecture and existing conditions.
