How to Choose the Best Wine Rack For You

Choosing the Best Wine Rack for You

It goes without saying that one of the most important steps in the quest to buy a wine rack is deciding which wine rack types would best suit your needs. After all, if you’re thinking about wine racks in the first place then it is obvious you care about your long term wine storage. As a result, you’ll want to choose the best rack for your particular needs.

Of course, determining what those needs are can be quite daunting, especially with all of our offerings. However, we’re here to help guide you through the various "Made in America" wine rack types and styles we offer here at WineRacks.com!

Small Wine Rack Types

If you’re thinking about storing only a few bottles of wine at a time, a small tabletop model or a hanging wine rack could be your best choice. Even in the tightest of spaces, these racks can offer a compact and aesthetically pleasing way to store your wine.

Some of our most popular small capacity wine racks include the 12 Bottle Stackable Rack and our Wine Cellar Cubes. These racks are designed for the wine drinker who perhaps doesn't have a massive collection but does have a few precious bottles to store long term

Here are the small capacity wine rack types and styles we have available:

Wine Cellar Rack Types

On the other hand, if you need a wine rack that would hold more bottles than that and you have space in a room that you’re looking to fill than a larger standing wine rack could be better suited for your purposes. At Wine Racks.com, we offer several lines of modular wine racks.

Pine Wine Racks

An example of an advantage wine cellar we built for a client. This includes two six column wine racks and the half height advantage series diamond bin

Our Pine Value Series is, as the name suggests, only available in pine. The depth remains 10 3/4” however it achieves a greater height than the advantage series, clocking in at 73 1/2” H. The pine value series also offers more variety in the width of racking which makes it a slightly more versatile yet still value conscious system.

Prestige Series Wine Cellar Racks

Looking for more options than these two series? Then the Prestige Series might be more up your alley.

Our Prestige Series racking is available in a wider variety of wood options to start: mahogany, pine, oak and black walnut. It is built to a height of 78" and a depth of 12 3/8” to fully support your wine bottles.

These racks also have "custom" features like a display angle in the individual bottle racking to show off the labels of your special bottles. Coordinating cabinetry pieces, crown molding and toe kick allow you to create a true "built-in" look for your cellar.

Still not sure what you would like? Besides offering a wide variety of pre-made racks, we can work with you to design a custom cellar in your home or to even just craft a single rack that will fit into even the most oddly shaped space.
