When a client contacted us looking for assistance with his space, he naturally wanted to make sure he could fit everything he was interested in into his small, under stairs space.
The back wall was only 36" and the left and right walls measured in at 45." Add to that a ceiling height of 6' that slopes and, well, it was tight.
However, the good thing is we offer complimentary design assistance and have a bevy of designers who can assist with spaces of any size. When our client said he wanted a wine fridge, wood racking and VintageView wine racks we knew it'd be tight but we knew we were up to the challenge.
Our designer Alysen took his dimensions and what he was looking for and worked up a sketch to ensure it all fit snugly.
Custom Under Stairs Wine Storage Project
A complimentary design like this allows clients to visualize how their space will look without the fear of spending money just to find something doesn't fit or doesn't look how they hoped it would.
The client ultimately decided to go without the VintageView wine racks due to space restrictions and purchased the Allavino Vite 1 Zone 115 Bottle Wine Fridge as well as some one column modular wine racks which we stained charcoal.
Below is the final result once the fridge and racks were installed in the wine cellar under stairs.
And there you have it! An unused space under the stairs is a lovely wine closet that holds 132 bottles, the majority refrigerated.
