Designing Wine Racks For a Local, Upscale Wine Restaurant

NicLIn

We love working with local businesses! Here’s a look at our Made In America wood wine racks in Nic L Inn Wine Cellar in Poughkeepsie. Our mahogany single tier wall merchandiser was stained black to match the industrial style look that the restaurant was going for.

The rack was then inset into the wall itself. We used our Elemental LED lighting kits to then make the rack and its precious contents pop. As we mentioned before, there’s definite benefits to using LED lighting in your wine cellar including the fact that they generate little heat.

The black chalkboard paint on the wall is a final, beautiful touch that also allows the restaurant to easily highlight their wine specials.

All of this, when brought together, created just the upscale look that Nic L Inn was going for.

It is great to see so much of the Hudson Valley represented in Nic L Inn, from the local wine racks to the farm to table menu. And it was even better to get a rave review back from Nic L Inn.

“WineRacks.com was so pleasant and easy to work with! They gave us a great price for our custom wine rack, and made it exactly how we needed it, stained it to match our restaurant and installed it for us. It’s perfect to use and to look at! Thanks so much!”

Exploring WineRacks.com’s Retail Wine Racks in the Local Community

As fantastic as it is to work on any wine cellar project, we can’t help but find something special about giving back to the local community. We’ve completed three local wine stores in recent months and each retail location was more than happy to share pictures of their completed spaces.

Hudson Valley Wine Market is a boutique wine and spirits shop in Gardiner, NY. This store has a focus on local wines so it is only natural they wanted to include locally made wine racks.

Our American made single tier wall merchandisers work beautifully with the wall mounted VintageView racks to create a mix of sleek metal and wood. This sort of racking system not only looks lovely but allows you to make the most of your space when looking to maximize bottle storage.

If you’re looking for wall mounted storage but need something that provides more bulk storage then our two column bin display merchandisers and three column bin display merchandisers may be just what you need. These racks offer bulk storage so even the oddest shaped bottle can be housed securely. The also feature a display in front to further show off the bottles you’re storing.

Terri’s Wine & Spirits – Salt Point, NY

Terri’s Wine & Spirits opted for those racks and had nothing but kind things to say.

I have to thank Mark Karpinski – he is a great salesperson, and did an AWESOME job helping me design my store. I’m getting lots of compliments on the beautiful wine racks that line my space. He is not only knowledgeable, but extremely passionate about what he does. His advice is important to me, because he has a real eye for design. It’s always a true pleasure to work with him.

Finally, there’s also racks like the single tier and double tier islands if you’re looking to utilize the most of your floor space. Village Wine & Spirits had just completed a major renovation and now needed racking to house their ever larger selection of beer, wine and spirits. Our island wine racks allowed Village Wine & Spirits to maximize their space in an efficient and attractive manner.

Thirsty Thursday: Our American Made Mahogany Racks in Mark & Toni’s Coal Fired Pizza

BrothersPizzaAndRestaurant3

While our premium cellar series racks are primarily used within the home there’s some fantastic retail applications for them as Mark & Toni’s Coal Fired Pizza found out first hand.

When Nick from Mark & Toni’s Coal Fire Pizza called in he had an idea of what he wanted but our associate Kelly Nulty was quick to assist with some additional questions he had.

The restaurant eventually decided on two of our Premium Series Full Height Solid Diamond Bin Wine Rack in mahogany and two Premium Series 1 Column Individual Bottle Wine Racks in mahogany.

As you can see, the racks came out beautifully and fit well into this upscale restaurant and wine bar. As we’ve discussed before, mahogany’s rich coloring and durability make it a popular choice for all types of projects. While mahogany is a bit more expensive than some of our other wood options the value of it is quite clear.

Wine Wednesday: Building a Wine Cellar With Wood and Metal Wine Racks

image018
At WineRacks.com, we pride ourselves in designing and building quality wine racks that our clients will be proud to display for a lifetime. All of our wood wine racks are expertly manufactured right here in the United States of America so we can follow your racking from the design stage to milling all the way through shipping and even install.

This care to detail in both the design and production stages lent itself well to a job we did recently for a Mr. Wurz. Mr. Wurz contacted us through our online questionnaire and needed some assistance in determining what would work best for his space. We know many home owners who want to put in a wine cellar aren’t sure where to start and there’s nothing wrong with that. After all, that’s what we’re here for!

Our sales director Mark Karpinski assisted Mr. Wurz with a free consultation and design. Together they decided to include a mixture of both our custom, mahogany wood racks and the VintageView wall mounted wine racks.

The end result is the cellar you see above and the satisfied testimonial below.

We had a small, odd-shaped, unfinished room in our basement and we didn’t know what to do with it. After some thinking, my wife and I decided to turn it into a wine cellar. A friend of mine who works closely with builders in the area suggested Wineracks.com. I sent Mark Karpinski the dimensions of the room and together, we came up with a wine rack design for the room. Mark was patient with me as I reviewed several designs and made changes. We eventually came up with a design that fit the room and looked great.

I had never done a project like this before so I had a lot to learn. As always, the project took longer than I thought it would but it was a side project I did when I had time. I am very happy with the results and want to thank Mark and Wineracks.com for their help in the successful completion of this project.

Remember, if you like what you see but are unsure of what will work in your space then you can always request a custom design. This design is free of charge whether your space is a small wine closet or a massive retail store.

Also, if you’ve purchased a rack or installed a custom cellar from us and would like to be featured in our blog then don’t hesitate to e-mail me at Shannon@wineracks.com.

Cheers!
